WISCONSIN — Ben Chan, an assistant professor of philosophy at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, rose to fame, in part, during his nine-game winning streak on "Jeopardy!" earlier this year. He expanded his winnings and his fandom with a second-place finish Tuesday in the "Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions."
"There was a stretch of about five clues when I thought, 'I could win,'" Chan said. "It ended [for me] with that last 'Daily Double,' a geography question when the correct response was Cumberland Gap."
While Chan could one day reappear on a future "Jeopardy!" run, Chan said he's ready to resume his regular life in Wisconsin. He doesn't even plan to pick up the phone if the folks from "Dancing with the Stars" were to call, at least for now.
"I think I'm committed to dancing with my wife," Chan said. "That's the next reality show I'd like to be on — it's reality reality."
