APPLETON, Wis. — Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is hosting a jam-packed 2024-25 theater season with modern musicals and Broadway classics alike, including two Wisconsin premieres.
“Mrs. Doubtfire” runs at Fox Cities P.A.C. from Nov. 19 to 24, 2024, followed by “Mamma Mia!” from Dec. 17-22. It will be “Mrs. Doubtfire’s” first stop in the Badger State.

“‘Mamma Mia!’ was the first Broadway show on our stage, so it has always been a favorite here in our community. We’re looking forward to welcoming it back after many years away,” Fox Cities P.A.C. president and CEO Maria Van Laanen said.
The venue will kick off 2025 with “The Lion King,” running from Jan. 8-26, followed by “Some Like it Hot” from March 11-16, another Wisconsin premiere. Fans can catch a performance of “A Beautiful Noise” from April 29 to May 4, 2025. “MJ The Musical” rounds out the summer at Fox Cities P.A.C. from June 3-8, 2025.
“I love that the series is bringing a little bit of something for everyone,” Van Laanen said. “…Each show has its magical moment that’s gonna create these great connections.”
The 2024-25 lineup marks Fox Cities P.A.C.’s 22nd season of shows. Fox Cities P.A.C. chose a thematic string to tie all the shows together: “Feel the love.”
“It gets to this idea of when you are engaged in a live experience, you are often in a space where you don’t know everybody who’s around you but you share this incredible experience that will absolutely connect you in a way that you don’t experience anywhere else,” Van Laanen said. “That opportunity to create those connections and experience life through other people’s stories has this really magical power that can be a very positive influence.”
Current Broadway season ticket holders will be automatically renewed for next season on March 19. Season ticket holders will receive additional details on the new renewal process. Those interested in purchasing a subscription may do so here. Individual show tickets will be made available to the public at a later date. “Clue,” “TINA: The Tina Turner Musical” and “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” round out the current theater season.
Fox Cities P.A.C. also released three other series line ups. “Bold Arts Alive!” includes performances such as “Cirque Kalabanté Afrique en Cirque” and “Bill Blagg presents Family Magic,” as well as musical performances such as “Michael Feinstein in Because of You: My Tribute to Tony Bennett featuring The Carnegie Hall Jazz Ensemble” and “An Evening with Time For Three and the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra.” Additional shows in the series include “DRUMLine Live,” “An Evening With Mandy Gonzalez” and “Katha Dance Theatre: Prakritir Pratisodh—Nature’s Revenge!”
“[The Bold Arts Alive! series creates] that opportunity to shine a light on the incredible people who make up our community and give a chance for people to learn more and engage is really powerful,” Van Laanen said. “I think about that with the Katha dance company as well as Cirque Kalabanté performances. We’re gonna have some really great opportunities to highlight local organizations through these arts performances.”
Shows in the “Spotlight Series” will run at the Kimberly-Clark Theater, including “Joshua Kane Performs Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Terror,” “Jenny Thiel Cabaret,” “The Improvised Broadway Musical” and “Songs and Stories of the Black Wolf—Wade Fernandez.”
The Viewpoint Speaker Series includes, “In Search of Lost Cities: Albert Lin,” “70 Years of Everest: Peter Hillary” and “The Untold Story of Sharks: Jess Cramp.”
