This year, seven Wisconsin babies born at Aurora facilities share a birthday that only happens once every four years.

Cole Barkow was one baby born on Leap Day this year. He was born at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, Wis. at 8:10 a.m. He weighed eight pounds and was 21 inches long.

Cole Barkow’s mother, Lisa Barkow, also has a Leap Day birthday. Lisa Barkow was born on Feb. 29, 1984.

Only about 0.07% of the total population has a Feb. 29 birthday. The chance of being born on Leap Day is one in 1,461.
