A Milwaukee-based venture firm and startup accelerator, gener8tor, is offering free training to help fill open jobs in Southeast Wisconsin.

Applications are open through Jan. 21.

The skills accelerator program is a partnership between gener8tor, Employ Milwaukee and the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County.

The accelerator trains people looking for jobs in necessary skills, and also provides career coaching. The program is online and can help place graduates into roles in project management, data analytics, and other in-demand career fields.

Since its creation in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, the skills accelerator has graduated 1,800 people. Job opportunities for the graduates include open positions in Southeast Wisconsin and remote roles for companies based elsewhere in the U.S.
