WISCONSIN — For Wisconsinites hoping to sign up for health insurance coverage through the federal marketplace and have it in place by Jan. 1, time's ticking toward a Dec. 15 deadline to sign up.
"People who don't have insurance offered from a job or people who may have recently lost our state Medicaid called BadgerCare Plus, this is the time for them to come in and 'enroll new' into coverage on the marketplace or renew your plan for 2024," said Julia Garvey, heath insurance navigator at Partnership Community Health Center.
While finding coverage plans by mid-December is one thing, making sure one signs up for the best possible plan is another.
"Working with a health insurance navigator is going to really ensure that you understand your coverage options," Garvey said. "Not only the prices that plans are priced at but making sure we find a good fit for your health and your budget."
