WISCONSIN — Aromas of turkey, stuffing, cranberries and pumpkin pie and distant sounds of the football game on TV will soon be filling the homes of many.
But with it comes long days of prep work, sometimes pesky relatives getting in the way and many, many dishes. Did we mention dishes?
Luckily, several local restaurants are offering a Thanksgiving dinner, which can be enjoyed by dining in or by takeout.
For those wanting to avoid the stress of making the big meal, here are places you can grab all your favorites without the hassle.

Milwaukee area
Mason Street Grill
Open from 1 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 23, the Mason Street Grill will serve wood-grilled steaks, seafood and a special Thanksgiving prix fixe menu. That menu includes a first course of either butternut squash soup or chopped salad, a second course of Amish heritage roast turkey or prime rib, and a third course of pumpkin pie, carrot cake or chocolate cake. The Pfister Hotel
If you’re looking for a different take on your Thanksgiving meal, try the Pfister Hotel. They’re offering a Thanksgiving brunch that’s $85 per adult, $30 per child ages 3 to 10 and free for children ages 2 and younger. It includes chilled seafood, salads and starters, Wisconsin cheeses, pastries and more. Reservations can be made from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The brunch takes place in the Grand Ballroom. The Packing House
With everything from white and dark meat turkey, sweet potatoes with brown sugar, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans and cranberry sauce, The Packing House has all your holiday favorites this Thanksgiving. It will serve patrons from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 23 and also offer a drive thru option from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $39.99 per adult and $23.99 per child. Saz’s Catering
Those looking for a fully cooked, ready-for-reheat Thanksgiving dinner can look no further than Saz’s Catering. All menu items will come with easy reheat instructions. The full Thanksgiving dinner includes turkey, mashed potatoes, bread stuffing, green beans, sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping, a baked pie, cranberry relish and more. It costs $150 and feeds for four. A La Carte options are also available for various prices.
Orders can be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at Saz’s Catering in Walker’s Point at 201 W. Walker Street. If you’re interested in getting one of these meals, you must order by Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. Find more information here.
The Capital Grille
On Thanksgiving Day, The Capital Grille in Milwaukee will host a full festive dinner in their dining room. It will include turkey with brioche stuffing, French green beans, cranberry-pear chutney and Sam’s mashed potatoes. For an additional cost, you can also get pecan-crusted mashed sweet potatoes with hot honey ($14) and pumpkin cheesecake ($12). The cost of the in-person dining experience is $50 for an adult and $20 for a child.
For those looking for a little extra help on the Thanksgiving sides, there is a take-home option. It costs $135 and serves four people. It does not include a turkey or dessert. The restaurant will provide the brioche stuffing, French green beans, cranberry-pear chutney, Sam’s mashed potatoes, pecan-crusted sweet potatoes with hot honey, seeded rolls and house-made gravy. Pre-orders must be completed by Nov. 21 and can be picked up on Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
I.D.
Looking for a little extra help on those Thanksgiving sides? I.D. in Delafiled is offering a grab ‘n go option for that. For $90, you’ll get a baby kale and delicata salad, wild mushroom and sage stuffing, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted garlic skin-on yukon gold mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and dinner rolls.
There are also several add-ons you can purchase, including a cheese and charcuterie ($40), a five-cheese Mac ‘n Cheese ($18), cranberry-apple chutney ($8), classic shrimp cocktail ($22/doz), and more. Madison area
Amara
If you’re looking for a Thanksgiving takeout meal for two, look no further than Amara. The restaurant is offering a tradition Thanksgiving meal or a vegetarian one for $65. It can be picked up from the restaurant on Nov. 22 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The classic kit includes three courses of turkey, stuffing, gravy, chilled broccoli and roasted beets, grain salad, Italian sausage, mashed potatoes, sweet potato and gratin. Customers have the option of adding on pumpkin pie for an extra $25, a mulled wine kit for $35, or a MOBCRAFT craft beer pack of 24 for $50.
The vegetarian option includes three courses of vegan meatballs, vegan apple stuffing, tomato gravy, chilled broccoli and roasted beets, grain salad, mashed potatoes and gratin. The same add-ons are also available. You can order online here.
Bonfyre American Grill
While this restaurant won’t be open for Thanksgiving, you can pre-order a meal through their website. Thanksgiving dinner bundles serve four to six guests and cost $165.
It includes turkey breast and glazed ham, your choice of an autumn salad or butternut squash soup, and a choice of three sides. It also comes with one pint of cranberry relish, one pint of turkey gravy and eight dinner rolls with butter. You can purchase more through A La Carte options. Pumpkin pie is a separate cost. Order will be available for pickup on Nov. 22 between noon and 8 p.m.
Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company
All four locations of the Madison-based brewpub are open for Thanksgiving. There are several options for those looking to indulge, but make sure you check the hours of each location before showing up.
A turkey dinner, which includes turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, gravy and a slice of pie, costs $20. The restaurant will also have a roasted root veggie pot pie for sale for $18. It’s described as a “puff pastry filled with carrots, Yukon potatoes, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, parsnip, sage and rosemary.” That option comes with a side of applesauce and a slice of pie.
For $24 you could also get braised short rib, which also includes a piece of pie. A prime rib meal will be available only at the Fitchburg and Hilldale locations for $35.
Wisconsin Union
Located on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, the Memorial Union will offer up re-heatable individual and family meals for Thanksgiving. Students get a special price for a meal if they use their WisCard.
Community members will pay $18 for a plate of either turkey, ham or vegetarian meal options. Otherwise, they can buy a meal for six at $175. That includes choice of pie alongside four pounds of turkey, green beans, stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls, cranberry relish, dinner rolls and sweet potatoes.
Pickup will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Memorial Union. However, meals must be ordered by Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. For those experiencing food insecurity on campus, the university also offers free meals. You can find more info here.
Green Bay area
The Ravine Pub & Grill
Open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving, The Ravine will offer a Thanksgiving Buffet. It will include turkey, baked and broasted chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad bar, rolls and desserts. Customers can also get coffee and milk.
For adults, it costs $25.99 and for children ages 4 to 10, it will cost $12.99. For those 1 to 3, it will cost $6.99. Reservations can be made by calling 920-468-4147.
Biebel’s Catering and Rental
Available for pre-order are two different eight-person meals from the catering group.
The “traditional feast” option includes a whole roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and turkey gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and pumpkin or apple pie. It’s about $135 for 8 people, but you can add additional servings for $16.95 per person.
The second option, the “Taste of Autumn,” includes an herb-roasted turkey, sausage and apple stuffing, Yukon gold potatoes and turkey gravy, orange glazed baby carrots, roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon, cranberry orange relish, parker house rolls and pumpkin or caramel sea salt apple pie. This option costs more, at $225. Additional servings can also be added to this option for $27.95 per person.
For both options, orders must be placed by Friday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. They can be picked up the day before Thanksgiving on Nov. 22 from noon to 5 p.m at Beibel’s Catering.
The Woods Golf Club
Known for its famous broasted chicken breast, The Woods will host a special Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations will be taken on the hour between these times. Adults and children can choose from chicken, turkey or chicken and turkey, with prices varying for each.
The dinner will be served family style, with mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, corn, coleslaw, dinner rolls, coffee, milk, dessert bars and pumpkin pie. Guests can also request cranberry sauce, sauerkraut and sweet potatoes for no additional charge. The chicken option is also available for pre-order and must be ordered by Nov. 17 for pickup between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
