GREEN BAY, Wis.— The 2-4 Packers will be back at Lambeau Field for a Sunday Noon game against the 3-4 Vikings.
These teams have split the season series the last three three years. The last four games between them have been won by the home team.
Here are three things to watch in Sunday's game:
Eyes on Cousins
Kirk Cousins and the Vikings are coming off their best victory of the season—a Monday night win over the 49ers. Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur was Cousins’ quarterbacks coach with Washington in 2012 and 2013.
Cousins is in the last year of his contract with Minnesota.
New star at receiver
The Vikings will be without star receiver Justin Jefferson, who is on the injured list with a bad hamstring. Minnesota has a rising star in rookie receiver Jordan Addison.
After two touchdown catches Monday night, he has six on the season. That’s second-most in the NFL.
Lopsided game?
One year after going 11-0 in one-score games, every Vikings game this season has been a one-score affair. They’re 3-4. The Packers have dominated the last two games against the Vikings played at Lambeau Field, winning by 27 and 24 points.
Since Matt LaFleur became the Head Coach of the Packers in 2019, Green Bay is 10-3 against NFC North Division opponents at Lambeau Field.
The Vikings will bring some familiar faces to Green Bay. Former Packers' defensive lineman Dean Lowry plays for Minnesota. The Minnesota defensive coaching staff includes former Packers' assistants Mike Pettine and Mike Smith.
