MILWAUKEE — At about 6:16 a.m. Monday, a Milwaukee County Transit System bus was involved in a crash with another vehicle at the intersection of 35th Street and North Avenue, according to a MCTS spokesperson. 

The Route 21 bus was heading east on North Avenue when the crash occurred.

There were three passengers on the bus, according to MCTS. Two of them — a 70-year-old Milwaukee male and a 62-year-old Milwaukee male — were taken to the hospital for medical treatment; they both have non-life-threatening injuries. The bus driver, a 37-year-old Milwaukee female, was also taken to the hospital, according to MCTS. Police said she was not injured in the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle was a 34-year-old female from Milwaukee. She was taken into police custody, according to the Milwaukee Police Department. She was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

MCTS said it does not have footage of the incident, as the camera was damaged in the crash.

MPD said it the collision is under investigation; Milwaukee County Attorney's Office will review any charges.
