WISCONSIN — Amid rising temperatures, Ready Wisconsin issued a reminder to Wisconsinites on how to safely beat the heat.
Wisconsinites should be drinking plenty of water, and stay inside if they can during the afternoon, when temperatures are highest.
Wisconsinites should also be mindful of heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke symptoms.
Furthermore, if you have to be outside, take time to find a shady spot to cool off. Applying sunscreen to stay out of way of harmful sunrays is also important to protect yourself.
If you do not have access to a cool, indoor building to stay safe from the heat, find a cooling center near you, here.
