“We’re so excited to return for another year of summer celebrations, and most importantly, togetherness,” said Eddie Sturkey, East Town Association’s executive director. “Jazz in the Park represents the power of the arts to bring our diverse community together to savor Milwaukee’s musical roots and talent.”

Jazz in the Park has served as “Milwaukee’s original date night” for more than 30 years, first getting crowds jazzed up in 1991. The series hosts 5,000 audience members each week and serves local food and beverage options. Concert goers are encouraged to purchase wine, beer and cocktails from onsite beverage tents “as alcoholic beverage carry-ins are discouraged.”

Proceeds from Jazz in the Park not only fund the event itself but are also “returned to the community through neighborhood improvement programs and civic events, such as the popular Cathedral Square Market and Bastille Days.”

Tickets for Jazz in the Park are not required. However, VIP packages are available for all 12 performances. There are three packages available per show, and include two bottles of wine from Door Peninsula Winery, a “backstage” picnic table, a Charcuter-Me charcuterie board, Sweetly Baked treats and access to a private bathroom. The VIP Experience can include up to eight people; ticket information is available, here
