MILWAUKEE — The Brewers extended their winning streak to three games in a row after winning their home opener in convincing fashion Monday at American Family Field.
The Brewers' offense was led by Bryce Turang whose first career home run was a grand slam in the fifth inning. Milwaukee opened the scoring floodgates in the fifth when they scored seven runs to extend their lead over the Mets 10-0.
Starting pitcher Freddy Peralta looked great pitching six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. Bryse Wilson finished the final three innings giving up only one hit and striking out two.
The Brewers continue their three-game series against the Mets Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. at American Family Field.
