MILWAUKEE — The Republican National Committee announced the official leading the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Friday.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel announced Indiana Republican Party National Committeewoman Anne Hathaway will serve as the Chairwoman of the Party’s Committee on Arrangements, which is in charge of organizing the 2024 RNC.

“I am excited to announce that Anne will be leading our 2024 convention in Milwaukee, where we will showcase the best of our party,” McDaniel said in a statement. “Anne brings decades of dedicated service to our party, and she is the perfect choice to lead and organize our convention.”

Hathaway served on the Committee on Arrangements from 2019 until 2020 and currently serves on RNC’s Site Selection Committee as Chair and Debates Committee as Co-Chair. She also serves as a member of the Indiana Republican State Central Committee.

“I am honored to have been chosen by Chairwoman McDaniel to execute her vision for an excellent convention in Milwaukee,” Hathaway said in a statement. “I look forward to the work ahead that will culminate in the nomination of the next President and Vice President of the United States.”

It was also announced that National Committeeman for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Ron Kaufman will assist Hathaway in planning the 2024 convention by serving as General Chairman. Kaufman previously served as the Treasurer of the Republican National Committee and Chaired the 2020 RNC Convention Site Selection Committee.

“Our job as the Host Committee is to help provide the RNC with the tools necessary to hold a top-notch convention showcasing Milwaukee to the world,” Chairman of the MKE 2024 Host Committee Reince Priebus said in a statement. “I’m confident that the RNC appointed great partners for that mission. I congratulate my friends Anne and Ron, and I look forward to working together to ensure that Milwaukee is a world-class host during the 2024 convention.”

The 2024 RNC is July 15-18, 2024.

The first Republican presidential primary debate will also be held in Milwaukee this August, Republican Party of Wisconsin Chair Brian Schimming confirmed last month.

It was first announced that Milwaukee won the bid to host the RNC in Aug. 2022.
