MILWAUKEE — Over the past 32 years, the Packers have essentially had 2 starting quarterbacks in Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.
The New York Jets?
They've had far more than 2 in the past 32 years, a lot more than that since they last won the Super Bowl in 1969.
"Oh my gosh," said Roger Clark, a longtime reporter at Spectrum News NY1 and a longtime fan of the New York Jets. "Chad Pennington, Mark Sanchez, Browning Nagle, Vinny Testaverde..."
Now, Clark and his fellow Jets fans are preparing for the likelihood of having Aaron Rodgers under center next season after the Packers legend confirmed Wednesday that his goal is to play for New York, pending a probable trade.
"It's been so strange here in New York," Clark said. "The Jets fans, they've been playing the waiting game and I know [Packers fans] are used to dealing with him and his eccentricities... We've had interesting players over the years on the Jets, the Giants, the Mets, the Yankees, but I don't think we've had anything quite like Aaron Rodgers."
