MILWAUKEE — On the heels of this weekend's NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City and with the 2024 All-Star Weekend locked in for Indianapolis, the Milwaukee Bucks have confirmed they're planning to submit a bid to host the NBA All-Star Game in either 2025 or 2026. It would be the team's first time hosting the NBA All-Star Game in more than 40 years.
"I think anyone who looks around the Deer District and what we've done with Fiserv Forum and surrounding development... I think we've made a good impact on the city but there's more to come," said Michael Belot, senior vice president of Bucks Ventures & Development. "The All-Star Game has a tremendous economic impact."
The Bucks are pressing forward with the bid to host the massive event within the next few years because, simply put, the team knows it can succeed. Besides, Milwaukee is no stranger to welcoming in guests.
"There's no doubt Milwaukee would be a tremendous host," Belot added. "Between Milwaukee hosting the 2020 DNC, hosting the 2021 Ryder Cup, being the future host of the 2024 RNC, I think Milwaukee has put itself on the map to host major international and global events. We have one of the best arenas in the entire country with a world-class player. All of that adds up to us being a fantastic host, and it's something we're excited to throw our hat in the ring for and hopefully get it..."
