MILWAUKEE — Starting Friday, movie lovers will be able to check out the Oscar-nominated short films at the Oriental Theatre.

ShortsTV and Magnolia Pictures will present the short films in the Documentary, Animated and Live Action categories for the 18th consecutive year.

One of the Best Documentary Short Film nominees, “The Martha Mitchell Effect,” was co-directed by Milwaukee native Debra McClutchy. The short also screened at the 2022 Milwaukee Film Festival.

The 95th Academy Awards will take place March 12.
