CADOTT, Wis. — The largest three-day rock music and camping event in the U.S. announced its summer’s lineup on Friday.
Rock Fest shared its 2023 headliners will be Slipknot, Pantera and Godsmack. Ice Cube, Papa Roach and Falling in Reverse will also perform alongside more than 75 bands over the course of the festival.
Pantera is one of the many national groups to step on a Rock Fest stage for the first time. The band will perform one of their first U.S. shows after a 21-year hiatus on July 13.
This year’s festival will run July 13-15 in Cadott, Wis.
Rock Fest 2022 saw the highest ever attendance in the event’s nearly 30 year history and festival management said it is anticipating another massive turnout. Last year’s turnout was also the largest turnout in general for parent company Chippewa Valley Music Festivals, beating out the all-time attendance record of its sister festival, Country Fest.
“We really focus on making each year better than the last,” festival promoter Wade Asher said. “Fans can look forward to 20 national acts performing at Rock Fest for the first time. And that is pretty tough to do when we’ve been doing this for 29 years. As always, we’re keeping busy in the offseason working to improve the fan experience in many ways, including both new and improved infrastructure for 2023. We can’t wait to do it all over again.”
A bonus bash — exclusive to three-day ticket holders — will be held July 12, featuring Soul Asylum, Alien Ant Farm and Gemini Syndrome among others.
