WISCONSIN —  ‘Tis the season to un-deck those halls.

Once Wisconsinites remove ornaments, lights and other Christmas tree decor, they can recycle their living Christmas trees.

Here’s how to dispose of them in the 15 largest cities in the Badger State:

Milwaukee

Christmas trees can be composted or turned into mulch at one of the City Self Help Centers. Click here for a list of hours and locations.

Trees can also be picked up for free at regular garbage sites — whether you use curbside or alley pick ups. Those trees will be landfilled by the Department of Public Works.
