NATIONWIDE — Airlines across the country are prepping for a potential blizzard that is set to sweep the nation later this week.

With many flight delays and cancellations expected, some airlines are already giving out waivers.

What you need to know about your airline:

United Airlines

East Coast

Change fees and fare differences will be waived for United Airlines passengers traveling through the East Coast departing on or before Dec. 28, 2022. Travel must be rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin class and between the same cities.

This applies to United Airlines passengers who purchased a ticket by Dec. 18, 2022 with original plans to travel from Dec. 22 to 25, 2022 along the East Coast. The rebooking window is Dec. 22 to 28, 2022.

Texas

Change fees and fare differences will be waived for United Airlines passengers traveling through Texas departing on or before Dec. 28, 2022. Travel must be rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin class and between the same cities.

This applies to United Airlines passengers who purchased a ticket by Dec. 18, 2022 with original plans to travel from Dec. 22 to 25, 2022. The rebooking window is Dec. 22 to 28, 2022.

Central and Northwest

Change fees and fare differences will be waived for United Airlines passengers traveling throughout Central and Northwestern parts of the country, departing on or before Dec. 28, 2022. Travel must be rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin class and between the same cities.

This applies to United Airlines passengers who purchased a ticket by Dec. 18, 2022 with original plans to travel from Dec. 20 to 23, 2022. The rebooking window is Dec. 18 to 28, 2022.

Midwest

Change fees and fare differences will be waived for United Airlines passengers traveling throughout the midwestern parts of the country, departing on or before Dec. 30, 2022. Travel must be rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin class and between the same cities.

This applies to United Airlines passengers who purchased a ticket by Dec. 17, 2022 with original plans to travel from Dec. 21 to 25, 2022. The rebooking window is Dec. 18 to 30, 2022.

Southwest Airlines 

Southwest Airlines issued a variety of winter weather waiver codes for travelers with originally booked flights between now and Dec. 26.

Travel must be rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin class and between the same cities. Flights must be rebooked within 14 days of the original travel dates.

American Airlines 

Northeast

American Airlines will waive change feeds for people traveling to, through and from dozens of airports in the northeastern region from Dec. 22 to 24, 2022. To be eligible, passengers must have purchased their ticket by Dec. 19.

Travel must be rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin class and between the same cities. Changes must be made by Dec. 24.

Midwest

American Airlines will waive change feeds for people traveling to, through and from dozens of airports in the Midwest region from Dec. 21 to 23, 2022. To be eligible, passengers must have purchased their ticket by Dec. 19.

Travel must be rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin class and between the same cities. Changes must be made by Dec. 23.

Delta Airlines 

Delta Airlines has issued travel advisories for the Atlantic, Northeast, Northwest, Boston and Pacific Northwest regions of the country.

Atlantic and Northeast

For travelers who need to rebook travel on or before Dec. 27, 2022, fare differences will be waived. Travel must be in the same cabin class.

For travelers who need to rebook travel on or before Dec. 26, 2022, fare differences will be waived. Travel must be in the same cabin class.

Boston

For travelers who need to rebook travel on or before Dec. 20, 2022, fare differences will be waived. Travel must be in the same cabin class.

For travelers who need to rebook travel on or before Dec. 25, 2022, fare differences will be waived. Travel must be in the same cabin class.

JetBlue 

Northeast

JetBlue issued a Northeast winter weather fee waiver for those traveling from Dec. 22 to 23, 2022. Change fees and fare differences will be waived.

Passengers can rebook flights through Dec. 25, but must do so prior to their original flight. Passengers with cancelled flights may also opt for a refund, as long as their original trip was booked on or before Dec. 20.

Midwest

JetBlue issued a Midwest winter weather fee waiver for those traveling from Dec. 21 to 23, 2022. Change fees and fare differences will be waived.

Passengers can rebook flights from Dec. 20 to 25, but must do so prior to their original flight. Passengers with cancelled flights may also opt for a refund, as long as their original trip was booked on or before Dec. 19.

Spirit Airlines 

Those traveling to, from or through select airports from Dec. 21 to 24, 2022, can have modification charges and fare differences waived through Dec. 28. After Dec. 28, a modification charge is waived, but a fare differnece could apply.

Alaska Airlines 

Alaska Airlines issues a winter weather travel advisory for those going to or from Seattle from Dec. 18 to 22, 2022.

Alaska Airlines said flights traveling to or from Seattle may be canceled due to heavy snow. If passengers want to change their flights now through Dec. 27, fare price changes will be waived. Flights must be booked between the same origins and destinations, and be in the same cabin class.

Tickets must have been purchased on or before Dec. 18, with an original travel date of Dec. 20. The new travel window spans from now through Dec. 27.

Children traveling alone will not be accepted on connecting flights through Seattle, but will be accepted on nonstop flights.

Pets traveling in cargo to or from Seattle will not be accepted, but pets can travel in cabin with their owners.
