WISCONSIN — With an intense snow storm expected to drift in later this week, Amtrak canceled multiple schedule trains across the country, including many running through Wisconsin.

Amtrak said it canceled its Empire Builder Train 7/27, which runs daily from Chicago to Seattle. The train runs once a day, making multiple stops in Wisconsin. Amtrak said it canceled the Dec. 20 and 21 Empire Builder Trains due to severe weather warnings.

The Empire Builder Train 8/28, which runs daily from Chicago to Seattle, has also been canceled for Dec. 20 and 21. The train runs once a day, making multiple stops in Wisconsin. 

Amtrak also said Hiawatha Service Trains — 329, 332, 333, 336, 337, 340 and 342 — are canceled on Dec. 22, 24 and 25, due to forecasted winter weather. Hiawatha Service Trains run between Chicago and Milwaukee in both directions. 

Amtrak said passengers who need assistance in light of weather cancellations can call or text 1-800-USA-RAIL.​
