MILWAUKEE — Time to roll out the barrel. A whole new brewery experience is coming to American Family Field.
The Milwaukee Brewers and the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company on Monday revealed the J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard, a new restaurant concept exclusive to the stadium.
“We are thrilled to reveal J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard at American Family Field, with our valued partners at Molson Coors,” said Brewers President of Business Operation Rick Schlesinger.
Officials said the space, which overlooks the left field, will undergo a big transformation that will capture Milwaukee’s history of brewing.
Once completed, visitors will be dazzled with a three barrel brewing system, which will craft speciality beer brewed onsite by Leinenkugel’s. That beer will be exclusive to American Family Field and rotate based on fan interest.
The restaurant will also have a full-service 27-foot bar, which merges with the main bar. Altogether, both bars will have 48 brews on tap and domestics and imports. Leinenkugel favorites, Summer Shandy and Juicy Peach, will be available. Food will also be available.
Also new will be the garage door entrance, which will provide a wider space for fans in the ballpark experience.
“We have worked closely to redesign the space and experience for our fans,” said Schlesinger. “The Barrel Yard will be a must-stop for fans on game day, and also a popular non-game day destination.”
Fans can choose from a variety of game day ticket packages at the Barrel Yard, which includes views from outdoor tables on the Home Run Porch and the Bullpen Tables. It also includes food options. You can find more information on that here.
However, all fans are welcome to grab carry-out for the restaurant on game days.
The Barrel Yard will also have a space for private events called the Brew Room. It features indoor and outdoor seating for groups of up to 50. That can be rented on game days and non-game days.
Reservation for groups of 24 or more should contact the Brewers Group Sales office at 414-902-GRPS (4777). For reservations less than 24, you should contact the Brewers Ticket Office at 414-902-4000.
The J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard is set to open in March 2023. A Grand Opening date, hours of operation and full menu will be announced sometime this winter.
“This project has been a big one and we’re really looking forward to opening,” said Leinenkugel’s President Tony Bugher. “We know fans will enjoy the opportunity to try new beers, brewed right here, that they can only get at the Barrel Yard.”
