WISCONSIN — The falling price of unleaded gas across Wisconsin, may continue to sneak even lower in the days and weeks ahead.
Gas prices are now back below $3.00 per gallon on average, according to AAA.
"We're continuing to see both supply and demand push in the right direction for consumers," Nick Jarmusz, a spokesperson for AAA Wisconsin, said. "We're seeing demand diminish as we head out of the fall and into the winter — that's a seasonal trend."
The lower prices may plateau or inch back higher through the holidays, but Jarmusz said that, overall, the price of unleaded fuel should remain significantly lower than what the country dealt with over the summer, when prices spiked to record highs.
"They probably will [keep falling into the New Year]," Jarmusz said. "We anticipate that the prices in 2023 are going to bear more resemblance to the prices in 2021."
