MILWAUKEE — Milwaukeeans can cast their vote in the upcoming election in the home of champions.
Fiserv Forum will serve as an early voting site for the Nov. 8 general election. Fiserv Forum will be open to voters Oct. 25 and 27 and Nov. 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The arena will also have early voting hours Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“The Bucks are graciously and generously opening the doors of Fiserv Forum for early voting, and I hope this inspires more eligible Milwaukee residents to cast a ballot this fall,” Mayor Cavalier Johnson said. “Voter participation strengthens democracy, and, when Milwaukee voters cast ballots, their voices are heard by elected officials.”
Election officials said they hope it encourages more people to vote, particularly younger voters.
“Student populations often wait until election day to update their registration and vote, which can create longer lines and wait times on campus,” said Claire Woodall-Vogg, executive director of the Milwaukee Election Commission. “We hope that this convenient location will encourage Marquette and MATC students to skip the election day line and vote early.”
When voting in-person absentee, voters can complete their voter registration through Nov. 4. Voters also have until Nov. 4 to register at their municipal clerk’s office, can register to vote online or by mail through Oct. 19 and can also register to vote on election day.
Additional general election deadlines can be found here.
Those who wish to vote early at Fiserv Forum should enter through the Johnson Controls Entrance at the corner of 6th Street and Juneau Avenue Parking for voters is free between 6th and 5th streets on Juneau Avenue. Curbside voting is available for those who cannot enter the arena because of a disability.
“Every voter in Milwaukee should be ensured with a safe and convenient way to exercise their right to vote,” said Bucks and Fiserv Forum president Peter Feigin. “As a major part of our community, Fiserv Forum is an ideal early voting location where everyone’s voice can be heard in a responsible way. We encourage every eligible voter to cast their ballot.”
