MADISON, Wis. — An AMBER Alert was canceled for a 17-year-old girl who was reported missing Sept. 22. Police said they found her and she is safe. 

Laniyah Rose Hampton's mother called Madison Police Department to report her missing Sept. 22. Police said Hampton, who was last seen in Dane County, was in imminent danger.

Madison police said they believe Hampton was with Paul Williams III, who is 36-years-old. Police said Williams remains at large. 

Williams has a warrant out for his arrest. He is 6-foot-6-inches tall and weighs 244 pounds. Williams has brown eyes and black braided hair. He may have a beard. Police said he has tattoo sleeves on both of his arms and may be on crutches.

Police said Williams is “known to visit” Beloit and Janesville. 

Police said he drives a 2019 silver or black Chevy Malibu with Wisconsin plate AMP7217. Police said he also drives a 2009 silver Chrysler Aspen with Wisconsin plate AMF3144.

Police said anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Williams should immediately call 911 and not approach them.
