MILWAUKEE — The highways and byways across the Badger State are likely to be quite busy over the next three days, as the momentum from a busy 2022 will most certainly continue through the Labor Day holiday weekend.
“If this past summer season is any indication, it’s going to be busy,” Anne Sayers, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism Secretary-designee, told Spectrum News 1. “We had a lot of reasons to celebrate what we saw happen already this summer and with one last big weekend to go, things are looking pretty good.”
After a rough stretch early on during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, there are more and more signs that — at least on the tourism front — business continues to return to pre-pandemic levels.
“TravelWisconsin.com actually had the most events ever listed on our webpage this year, meaning that events are back in a big way and so are the attendees,” Secretary-designee Sayers added.
