MILWAUKEE — After almost three decades, the NHL will be back in Milwaukee this fall.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, the Chicago Blackhawks will face off against the Minnesota Wild in a preseason matchup at Fiserv Forum, starting at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Tickets already go on sale this Friday, Aug. 5. Beginning at 10 a.m. CT.

“We are excited to host the first NHL game at Fiserv Forum and welcome the return of NHL hockey to Milwaukee for the first time since 1993,” said Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Peter Feigin.

Not only has it been about 30 years since an NHL game graced the city, but the Blackhawks haven’t played a game in Milwaukee since 1992, when the Bradley Center was still standing. Back then, they played against the Los Angeles Kings.

“We are excited to bring the Blackhawks experience to our fans out of Chicago, and we can’t think of a better place to start than our incredible neighbors to the north,” said Chicago Blackhawks’ President of Business Operations Jaime Faulkner.

But it won’t just be about the game. Prior to the puck drop, there will be plenty of pre-game celebrations in the Deer District, including celebrity appearances from the Blackhawks, live music, and more.

“We’re hard at work designing a game day fans won’t want to miss,” said Faulkner.

The Blackhawks are the first NHL team to bring a game to Fiserv Forum through partnerships with the Milwaukee Bucks and BMO Harris.
