MILWAUKEE — After a quiet couple of years, artists are ready to show their passion projects to the people.
Art fairs are back across the state as people look for unique or homemade items. Many events were canceled during the height of the pandemic and are now returning as more people feel comfortable attending in person.
Jean Wells with Wisconsin Craft said while the pandemic gave an opportunity for artists to refine their craft or spend more time doing what they love, it also forced working artists to figure out more creative ways to sell their pieces.
Many turned to online opportunities, Wells said. Now, they are prepared to get more immediate feedback as people browse their items.
