Sachelle Reed is a morning anchor at Spectrum News 1 Wisconsin. A natural early riser, she's honored to wake up with Wisconsinites.
Sachelle is a Rockford, Illinois native who began her career as an anchor and reporter in her small hometown. She continued her news career in Milwaukee, eventually heading far south to Orlando, Florida where she was an anchor and reporter at the CBS affiliate. During Sachelle's time in Florida, you may have seen her on CNN covering hurricanes at Daytona Beach or appearing on CBS Nightly News.
Sachelle is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists, which she has served in both local and national roles. She is a strong believer in reporting that reflects on the varied experiences of each community in both their triumphs and struggles. After the Pulse Nightclub mass shooting, Sachelle won an Associated Press award for her compassionate coverage of the tragedy.
