MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Bucks stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday were named to 2021-22 All-Defensive Teams on Friday.

Giannis was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team; Holiday was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.

According to the Bucks, this is Giannis’ fourth consecutive First Team selection. The Bucks said Holiday has now been named All-Defense for four out of the past five seasons. It’s also the fourth season in a row the team has multiple players named All-Defense.

Giannis earned First Team honors the last four seasons, and a Second Team honor in 2016-17. Giannis was also named the 2019-20 Defensive Player of the Year. This season he had 91 blocks, the 11th best in the NBA. Giannis tied for third for most defensive rebounds per game, with a 9.6 average this season.

Holiday earned First Team honors in 2017-19 and 2020-21, and a Second Team honor in 2018-19. Holiday had multiple steals in 34 out of 67 games this season.
