RACINE, Wis.— When Liamani Segura was just 6 years old, she sang in front of a crowd for the first time. At age 10, she belted out the national anthem at sold-out Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette University men’s basketball games. Most recently, she joined Boyz II Men for a performance.

Now, Segura is 13 years old, and she’s about to see her name in lights.

The Racine teen announced this week that she will join the cast of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” for season three — the same Disney+ original that propelled Olivia Rodrigo to stardom.

“I’ve been working so hard, TEAM!” Segura posted to her social media pages. “And I’m so happy…”

Segura takes on the role of Emmy, a “wide-eyed” eighth-grader at Camp Shallow Lake. It will be Emmy’s first time camp audition.
