MADISON, Wis. — A Wisconsin man has been a Milwaukee baseball fan for years. His love for the team started long before the team was even called the Brewers.

A retired Madison firefighter turned this old firehouse into a home about 30 years ago. Inside is not only old fire station memorabilia but also memorabilia from the Milwaukee Braves.

In the past few decades, Mikey Fuss has had no issue making a firehouse a home. It’s filled with things he loves and is passionate about, like fire trucks. And of course, his beloved Milwaukee Braves.

As you walk up the stairs of the old firehouse, on the walls are posters, signs, and pictures from the team long ago. This is just  the beginning of his collection. Up on the second floor is where he has a room filled with Milwaukee Braves memorabilia from floor to ceiling.

“This ball is from the 1951 Brewers. The Milwaukee Brewers — the farm team of the Milwaukee Braves,” Fuss said.

Inside are autographed balls, gloves, jerseys, pictures, really anything you can think of. It’s an impressive collection and to Fuss it’s more than just stuff.

“It means the love of the game the way it used to be and it’s my little world. It’s my world because I can come in here any time and relive the past,” Fuss said.

He takes time each day to walk though his collection and soak in history, and everything iconic about Milwaukee’s baseball team before they became the Brewers.

A few of his favorite pieces are from Hank Aaron. He has a game worn hat and a pair of signed stirrups. For him, the Braves mean a lot so for the upcoming NLDS series it is a bit of a fun matchup.

“Oh yeah I like that. When Atlanta would come I would go just to see them,” Fuss said.

However, he will always be cheering for his home team.
