MILWAUKEE— In basketball, victory is often measured based on what happens on the court, but for fans watching Saturday’s Bucks playoff game, victory also came in a different form.

For many, there was a sense of victory in being able to celebrate together again with other Milwaukeeans.

While capacity was limited, fans once again had a chance to gather in the Deer District outside Fiserv Forum to watch the game. The team set up a big screen TV and even had a DJ outside to get the crowed excited.

With temperatures reaching into the 80s at game time, many fans took precautions like staying hydrated and applying plenty of sunscreen.

But even the "Heat" couldn't stop Milwaukee from having a great day.

David Robertson is a hot dog vendor just outside the Deer District. For him, getting to see fans again enjoying themselves meant a whole lot more than just selling more sausages.

“It feels so good just to see this stuff here. To see the people out here again, and see people walking by, come over here, the crowd, it gives you life,” says Robertson.

For fans who came out to watch the game, it was as also an opportunity to enjoy meeting new people for the first time in over a year. It was the case for fan Joel Sauceda who took in the game with friends.

“It's fun to see people you have not seen before. Enjoying the same thing you do: Enjoying the Bucks, being outside,” says Sauceda.
