MILWAUKEE — One thing that almost everyone in Wisconsin has in common is receiving mail.

Getting letters, packages, and bills out to more than five million people takes plenty of work. It is the reason the United States Postal Service (USPS) is looking to hire hundreds of positions around the state.

“We have a need throughout the entire state for hiring," says Fred Schroeder, acting HR Manager for the USPS in Milwaukee.

Schroeder says the postal service needs everything from mail carriers to clerks. Truck operators are in particularly high demand, with more than 30 positions to fill in the Milwaukee area.

“You get to go home at night, not over the road,” says Schroeder

The truck operator positions require applicants to already have a Commercial Drivers License. To learn more about the positions available with USPS, visit their hiring website. You can find specific details about the jobs open as well as salary information.
