KENOSHA, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS)- Anthony Huber was well known around Basik Skatepark on Kenosha’s south side. He was not only known for being skilled at pressure flips on his board, but more importantly for being a good friend.

Huber was one of the victims shot and killed late Tuesday near 63rd and Sheridan Road following protests which left Huber and another man dead, and another person seriously injured.

Joe Woods got to know Huber at the skate park and the two attended Tremper High School together. Woods says he was devastated to learn what happened to his friend.

“I feel like he’s gone too soon,” says Woods. “I feel like he was always looking out for the people he cared for, he was always trying to show people he cared,”

A video of the shooting incident has gone viral on social media. Woods says while he is aware that the video is circulating, it is simply too painful for him to watch.

“It didn’t deserve to happen. I didn’t even want to watch that video, I still haven’t watched it,” says Woods

A Go Fund Me page has been set up in Anthony Huber’s honor. It has raised over $100,000 so far.
