MADISON, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) — City of Madison voters can now cast absentee ballots on the UW-Madison campus.

Starting Monday, voting will take place in tents on Engineering Mall, Library Mall, by the Kohl Center, and near the Natatorium:

  • Tent on Library Mall, 717 Langdon Street (Weekdays, August 3-6, noon – 4 p.m.)

  • Tent on Engineering Mall, 1538 Engineering Drive (Weekdays, August 3-6, noon – 4 p.m.)

  • Tent on Grassy Area East of UW Natatorium, 2000 Observatory Drive (Weekdays, August 3-6, noon – 4 p.m.)

  • Tent Outside Kohl Center, 601 W Dayton Street (Weekdays, August 3-6, noon – 4 p.m.)

The locations and times were established based on advice from Public Health Madison & Dane County. Part of that plan is to offer absentee voting outdoors.

Absentee clerks will be wearing face masks and high visibility vests. They will disinfect pens, clipboards, and envelope sealers after each use. The absentee clerks will be able to check voter ID through the voter’s vehicle window. If the voter needs to register to vote, the absentee clerk will be able to view the voter’s proof of address through the vehicle window.

The Clerk’s Office reminds voters that the August Primary is the election where you must pick a political party and vote for only candidates within that party.
