WISCONSIN (SPECTRUM NEWS)— Here is a look at the weekend snow fall from northern Wisconsin.

It was a weather filled weekend across the state of Wisconsin, the northern half of the state saw plenty of snow during the holiday weekend. Now, as Monday rolls around, Wisconsinites continue to dig themselves out.

Let's start in Ashland. You can see they got hit hard and they still have huge snow piles.

The Ashland school district is closed for the day. According to the National Weather Service, Ashland got about a foot and a half of snow over the weekend.

Ashland Police Chief, Jim Gregoire says there is a lot of work ahead to get things cleaned up.

"It usually takes them at least three days in an event like this to get everything completely cleared where there is no treachery and it's all good to go," Ashland Police Department, Chief Jim Gregoire said.

Snow piles are still found throughout the middle of the roads in downtown Ashland.

"There are a lot of sore shoulders and backs today I will tell you that," Gregoire said.

Meanwhile, in Hurley, the mounds of snow are high and plow driver, Chris Derosso says he has been working since Sunday to clear snow.

"I've been pretty busy trying to clean everything up so everything is ok," Plow Driver, Chris Derosso said.

The rest of the town still looks like a winter wonderland. The good news is, the Spectrum News One weather team says this week looks to be pretty calm across the entire state, so plenty of time to recover from this past weekend's snow.
