RACINE, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) — A group of talented women in Racine, going above and beyond to offer compassion to parents grieving the unthinkable loss of their child.
Each month, for about a year now at Racine’s Sew N’ Save, about three dozen women cut up donated wedding gowns and transform them into angel gowns.
Those items are sent to area NICU’S, Emergency Rooms and Children’s Hospitals. Founding Member Sally Falaschi says the effort makes every feel good inside.
“People have dresses in boxes in their basement and they move them from corner to corner and they could be repurposed into a really good thing,” Falaschi said.
You can learn how to donate your wedding dress or join the monthly sewing circle, by contacting Racine’s Sew N’ Save directly, or on their Facebook page.
