MILWAUKEE (SPECTRUM NEWS) - Wisconsin made and Wisconsin pride, that’s the motto behind a new business venture at Wisconsin Curated Creations; not to mention products you won’t find anywhere else
“Everything is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. We even have hand-crafted furniture, we have paintings, photography, you name it,” said Wisconsin Curated Creations Co-owner, Danielle Carter-Riley. “We carry a wide array of products including apparel; we have bath and body items.”
Back in September, co-owner, Bruce Riley and his wife, Danielle carter-Riley opened doors to Wisconsin Curated Creations” at Mayfair Mall. Inside, Danielle does carry her own jewelry line.
“I do everything from bracelets, earrings, necklaces,” said Danielle.
The Rileys say their partnership with other entrepreneurs in the state is what sets this store apart.
This is one, unique shop, that currently has 19, Wisconsin-based, small businesses inside, with each of its owners working hard with one thing in common.
“While it is a retail space, we’re really community-focused and centered,” said Danielle.
The Rileys say it’s the shop’s mission to give back and pour into the community through a different charity each month. They’ll start this thanksgiving by opening their space and providing meals to people who are homeless.
“My wife and I merged with MacCanon Brown Homeless Shelter to be able to bring her establishment into our establishment,” said Bruce Riley. “To be able to reach out to them and show them that it doesn’t take much to give and that we care”.
Bruce Riley says the textured artwork, trendy clothing, and handmade soaps wouldn’t be what they are without the love for others behind it.
