MILWAUKEE (SPECTRUM NEWS)— The Pabst Mansion is preparing for Christmas with holiday decorations going up around the house.

Although Thanksgiving hasn't even passed, the Pabst Mansion is going into full-blown Christmas mode, with decorating that takes weeks to put together.

It's about six weeks before Christmas and all through the Pabst Mansion plenty of people are stirring, especially decorator Georjean Zilles.

"We start in July and we are making all of these and now I notice we probably need a few more things on the tree because we don't quite have enough," Decorator, Georjean Zilles said.

Zilles is talking about handmade ornaments that she and her team made a few months ago.

"It was fun I enjoyed it. It took up a lot of time. I didn’t do a lot of housework but it was fun," Zilles said.

Zilles has been helping decorate the Pabst Mansion for the past 15 years. She spends countless hours thinking of designs and themes for the room she decorates each year.

"I've done most of the rooms downstairs. This is my favorite room of course," Zilles said.

This year she is taking on the task of the dining room. However, it’s no big deal for her because she is a woman with a lot of attention to detail.

She takes time to print out the exact menus the Pabst family used back in the day and puts each one of their names on a place card at the table.

She says it takes about two weeks worth of work to get this entire mansion lit up and ready for the holiday season. They decorate all three floors of the mansion. That includes about 20 rooms and around 20 to 30 different Christmas trees.

Meanwhile, upstairs at the mansion, two decorators are taking on the task of the granddaughter's room.

"I've been anticipating this for an entire year. I’ve been waiting to do this for a year," Decorator, Pedro said.

Pedro has a passion for Christmas and an eye for design. Him and his other designer, Amy chose a pink and blue whimsical look for the little girl’s room

Although it’s a work in progress it seems to be shaping up pretty nice. The teams of nearly 20 decorators are working to put the finishing touches throughout the house.

The Christmas display at the Pabst Mansion runs from November 21st to January 5th
