MADISON, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) - We’ve received many beautiful weather photos from the homes of our viewers across the state. Spectrum News Wi crews were also able to get out and gather video of our roadways and impacted areas across the region.
Over in Appleton, a total of three inches fell overnight. Kids at Xavier Elementary school didn’t let a little snow keep them from going to class, or even recess. They even had enough snow on the ground to build a snowman.
Meanwhile, the aftermath of this first snowfall left many Appleton residents in the dark. WE Energies reported close to 1,400 homes were without power, Tuesday morning.
Madison got three inches of snow, but much of that has already melted from sidewalks and roadways as warmer temperatures move in.
Lambeau Field also saw snow. Green Bay received a total of three and a half inches.
Areas like Dane County got the most snow overnight with close to four inches. But instead of shoveling, one Appleton resident grabbed his rake instead.
“The snow caused the leaves to come off the trees a lot quicker and I just thought I’d clean up the snow today,” said, George Knapstein, Appleton resident.
