WEST ALLIS (SPECTRUM NEWS)--There are many sights to see at the Wisconsin State Fair, but one animal that hasn't made an appearance for 15 years is finally back.

They've got long legs, big eyes, and super soft fur.

Kevin Stoer of Two Rivers Wisconsin owns an Alpaca farm. He brought two of his alpacas to show off at the Wisconsin State Fair. His two sweet girls are 14 month old blue ribbon winning alpacas. One is named Mona Lisa and her best pal is Penelope.

"The rule is on the farm the one who finds the baby first is the one who names it," London Dairy Alpacas Owner, Kevin Stoer said.

Kevin Stoer is the owner of London Dairy Alpacas in Two Rivers Wisconsin. Stoer is a fourth generation farmer and began his career working with cows.

"Then I saw the alpacas up in De Pere Wisconsin and that was it, that was the start of it and that was 22 years ago," Stoer said.

Now, more than two decades in Stoer says he is living the dream and fulfilling his passion. Stoer is full of knowledge on these docile animals and can point out how they differentiate from llamas.

"It's three times warmer than sheep wool three times warmer than sheep wool and doesn't have the itch," Stoer said.

These sweet alpacas also have some amazing selfie taking skills. But, besides the cuteness factor, these alpacas also help create hundreds of products from their luxurious coats.

"Alpacas come in 22 natural colors so people can buy things of yarn in certain colors and knit it," Stoer said.

From blankets, to hats, gloves, stockings, and socks the cozy and cuddle items are endless. Stoer says he’s blessed to be sharing his passion and knowledge of alpacas with hundreds of thousands throughout the Wisconsin State Fair.
