Wisconsin's 46th District State Representative Melissa Ratcliff's favorite part of her job is meeting with people, learning about issues that concern them, and working together to solve those problems.
The biggest thing she's learned during her time in office is that the job can be unpredictable, with her schedule constantly shifting - but that unpredictability is what makes public service challenging and fun. In the next five years, Ratcliff anticipates that her district will continue to grow with housing and business developments.
Her first paying job was as a Burger King cashier. Given an extra hour of free time, Ratcliff would probably schedule more meetings.
