WISCONSIN (SPECTRUM NEWS) — A Wisconsin man is hoping to improve the mental well being of many across the state and the US with an online program he created.
Josh Shaw is a Sheboygan native and he says growing up in a broken home wasn’t easy. He lost his dad in his early 20s to suicide, which he says was a turning point in his life.
“It was kind of a life changing moment for me. I realized i wasn’t in a place that I wanted to be so I went through this personal growth stage,” Ice Cold Confidence Owner, Josh Shaw said.
He took the time to grow mentally and ended up creating an online course for others to grow mentally and physically as well.
“I thought that if I could create a program to help some family members I think it could help the world too. I think these are some of the things my dad was missing too,” Shaw said.
He created Ice Cold Confidence, which is an online interactive course that helps build self esteem, confidence, and overall mental health. Shaw teamed up with psychologists to develop the program to be where it is today.
“Going through the program we identify some of the insecurities some people may be having some of the self defeating thoughts or behaviors that we have acquired throughout our lives,” Shaw said.
He says now is a time on unrest amongst many Americans and is hoping a program like his can help make a positive impact on the lives of those really going through it right now.
“It’s a fearful time the country has its fears and anxiety and I feel the antidote of fear is confidence and believing in yourself to get through this moment,” Shaw said.
