MILWAUKEE — Turning a dream to attend college into a reality; that’s a Milwaukee program’s mission, especially for high school students in the Milwaukee school district.

The College Possible program has been in Milwaukee since 2008. They partner with 15 area high schools, eight of which are in MPS. Through the program, students are connected with a trained coach and one-on-one guidance that continues into their college years.

West Allis native, Jeremiah Baez, is now a freshman at Bryant Stratton College. As a high school junior at Pulaski High, he was introduced to College Possible and says the organization has helped to put him on the right track to success.

“College would have been a maybe for me,” said Baez. “That program has helped me send out applications and get in touch with a lot of admissions at colleges.

“It’s there, it’s just someone who is picking up those pom-poms and saying yes you can do it,“ said Kellie Sigh, Executive Director for College Possible Milwaukee.

College Possible is currently recruiting high school juniors in the 15 schools that they Partner with. Sigh is encouraging students interested in connecting with a coach to let their guidance counselor or leader know.
