GREEN BAY, Wis (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way people shop for everything from groceries to clothes. School supply shopping is no exception, as families across Wisconsin prepare for an uncertain year ahead.

With many school districts still determining how much learning will take place in a physical classroom, versus virtually, the types of supplies in high-demand are changing.

Tom Sieber is the owner of School House in Green Bay, a teacher and educational supply store. He says sales have changed significantly, including selling items like facemasks and other supplies.

“For teachers, a lot of carpet markers and carpet squares where you can do social distancing (are selling fast),” Sieber says.

Sieber says sales of other in-school products like book covers and locker supplies are down as many families wait to see if those will even be needed in 2020.
