WISCONSIN (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- Even before the pandemic, years of depressed prices have made things difficult for farmers. Their mental health is even more of an issue now, but starting this week, there is more help for them.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture now has a 24/7 farmer wellness hotline. Farmers can call and be connected with a licensed mental health professional. Requests for counseling vouchers have already gone up this year through the department.

The hotline is 1-888-901-2558. Those who call can also set up appointments for future in-person or telehealth appointments.
