BELOIT, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) - A small Beloit based food company is beaming after winning big at the Wisconsin State Fair. Beepa's Beans, which produces a wide range of canned vegetables and sauce products, swept the fair's Harvested Fruits and Vegetables category. The company won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons for their pasta sauce, goulash, and sloppy joe sauce. In addition, Beepa's won an award for their Bloody Mary Mix in a seperate category.
For the small company, which was founded in 2015, the honor means a lot. Co Owner Roger Turner says while the ribbons themselves are nice, having the opportuinty to gain notoriety from the wins means a lot as the company grows.
“Its a sense of accomplishment, everybody drives off of something, to grow and put our family’s name out there, the family is proud.” says Turner
Beepa's products are currently sold in stores across Wisconsin and Illinois. Turner says he hopes the recent state fair wins will help get his products into more stores around the state.
