That's the thought behind Leinenkugels' virtual happy hours on social media, an idea Dick Leinenkugel came up with to stay connected and share a beer with Leine's fans across the country.
The happy hours include special Wisconsin guests, most recently Milwaukee Brewers' Christian Yelich joined in.
“Hey, we’ve had a lot of fans that have written some questions they wanna ask you so if you don’t mind I’d like to get into some of that. There are some fun questions there and we’d like to throw those out to you they’ve left them on the Instagram feed for Leinenkugel's," said Dick Leinenkugel.
The perfect opportunity from Brewers fans to ask everything they've ever wanted to know about the Brewers' outfielder.
“What is your ultimate vacation spot?”
“I love the beach, I mean the beach is my favorite place to be besides the baseball field. I really just like the ocean, I like getting away from the day to day life, so anywhere with a beach is right up my alley," answered Yelich.
Just good pals and good virtual times, talking baseball and everything Wisconsin. From their favorite beers.
“I think the summer shandy, that’s the one I’m drinking right now, yea I think that’d be my favorite one," said Yelich.
To what's keeping Yelich playing ball another seven years in the dairyland.
“I like the fan base I think just my first two years as a brewer, amazing and we were able to make playoffs both years and the atmosphere at miller park just great, it's awesome going to the stadium and knowing you’re gonna play in front of 40 thousand fans almost every night and they care so much about the team. Our play on the field can bring happiness to people’s lives and we don’t take that lightly it’s something I enjoy," he shared.
Yelich also reminisced on his favorite moments as a Milwaukee Brewer.
“That was one of my favorite series of my career so far, the last three games of the 2018 season..a lot of good memories," he recalled.
Though as most of us, Yelich is also spending most of his time at home, he shared how he is keeping in shape for when baseball comes back.
“I try to move around every day and get the body going, I don’t wanna be stationary all the time…we’re sheltering in place and doing our part to keep everyone safe but at the same time at some point, we’re gonna go out to play so we don’t wanna go from doing nothing for months to trying to ramp it back up for baseball season," said Yelich.
Toasting to better times ahead and even greater seasons for the Brewers.
“Looking forward to getting back out in the field hopefully in the not so distant future, but yea I hope everybody is staying safe, doing the best they can with these unprecedented times and we’ll be back to normal at some point," he finished.
Fans wanting to join the Leinenkugel family and their special guests on their next virtual happy hour can follow the Leinenkugel accounts on social media to find out when the next one will be hosted.
