MADISON, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS)- The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says tracking COVID-19 outbreaks in group facilities such as nursing homes, jails, and workplaces is key to preventing the spread of illness.
It is the reason they are adding a new page to their website which allows the public to track where outbreaks are occurring in group quarters.
DHS says Wisconsin has 187 facility-based outbreaks, 93 of which are in long term care facilities. The new data allows people to see what types of setting the outbreaks are taking place in as well as by region of the state.
