Expect clouds to linger across Wisconsin overnight with temperatures falling into the teens and single-digits. Wind chill values will sink to subzero levels in many places by Monday morning.
A north/northeasterly wind off of Lake Michigan will allow for lake effect snow showers to develop and impact far eastern Wisconsin Sunday night, continuing through midday Monday. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Racine and Kenosha Counties from 10 p.m. Sunday to 2 p.m. Monday.
The highest snowfall accumulation will be along and east of the I-94 corridor between Milwaukee and Kenosha Counties. In far eastern Racine and Kenosha Counties, 3 to 6 inches of snow is possible, but there is still some uncertainty about where the heavier bands of snow will set up.
Expect some snow-covered and slippery stretches on the roads for the Monday morning commute. Some heavier bands of snow may also significantly reduce visibility at times. With some wind gusts up to 30mph, blowing snow may also contribute to reduced visibility and additional travel issues through midday Monday.
High temperatures on Monday will be in the 20s for most of the state with wind chill values in the teens and single-digits throughout the day.
