CINCINNATI — The National Weather Service in Wilmington confirmed a tornado touched down near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) as a line of severe storms moved through the region Wednesday night.
Storm survey crews are continuing their investigation on the ground to determine the strength and path of the tornado. Meteorologists said video footage confirmed damage reported at the airport was a result of the tornado touchdown.
“Severe weather that came through the area overnight caused damage to a building under construction on airport property. No one was injured," CVG Airport said in a statement.
No other major damage has been reported so far, according to the NWS.
